Benn Thistel ~ after a brief illness, Mr. Bennett Thomson Thistel of Harriston passed away at his home in Harriston on Tuesday, May 13, 2014, in his 93rd year.

Beloved husband of Peggy (Self) Thistel. Father of Diane Thistel of Listowel, and Martin and Brenda Thistel of Blind River.

Grandfather of Ceara Thistel and Pat Bouchard, and Kristin Thistel and Dave Bouchard, all of Blind River, and Ryan Thistel and Shelby Secord of Cold Lake, Alberta.

Great-grandfather of Noah Bouchard.

Brother of Marjorie Miller of Orillia, Jack and Rosemarie Thistel of Niagara Falls, and Lindsay and Brenda Thistel of Gravenhurst.

Remembered also by many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his sisters Edith Harmer and Marion Gibbons.

Visitation will be held at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston on Thursday, May 15th from Noon until the time of funeral service at 2:00 p.m.

Interment in Harriston Cemetery
