Obituary for Ruby Porter
Ruby Porter ~ Peacefully at Palmerston and District Hospital, Ruby went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Thursday, June 19th, 2014 in her 86th year.
Devoted wife of Wesley Porter for 66 years.
Loving mother of Bonnie and Howard Martin of Elmira, and Ken and Janice Porter of Harriston.
Missed by grandchildren Julia and Ed Welsh, Jennifer and Kory Ronan, Joanne Martin, Keely Porter and Janessa Porter, and by her eight great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her brother Harold Watson, his wife Kay, and her sisters-in-law Barbara Watson and Marjorie Watson.
She was predeceased by her sisters Annie Watson, and Ruth Holbrook and husband John, and by her brothers Ft. Sgt. Howard Watson, Verdun Watson, and Clarence Watson and wife Gladys.
Friends may call at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
The funeral service will be held from Palmerston Evangelical Missionary Church on Monday, June 23rd at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to time of service.
Interment in Harriston Cemetery.
Memorial donations to Palmerston and District Hospital or New Tribes Mission would be appreciated.
