Obituary for James Edward Madigan

James Edward Madigan passed away peacefully at Caressant Care Nursing Home, Harriston. on Friday, August 12, 2016 in his 81st year following a period with Alzheimer’s

Born in Arthur Township on May 12, 1936, son of Michael P. Madigan and Johanna (Marie) Wilke.

Jim will be dearly missed by his surviving sister and brother Mary Hale of Palmerston and Paul Madigan of Guelph, and by his brother-in-law Mervyn Cowan of Harriston.

He will also be greatly missed by his many nieces and nephews.

Jim is predeceased by three sisters Jean Hale and husband Cyril, Margaret McLean and husband Don, and Kathlyne Cowan, and by five brothers Frank, John, MIke, Thomas and Leo Madigan, by his brother-in-law Gerald Hale, and by his parents Michael P. Madigan and Johanna 'Marie' Wilke.

A special thanks to all staff at Caressant Care Nursing Home for the care given to Jim.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Kenilworth on Monday, August 15 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior.

Interment in Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Memorial donations to Alzheimer Society would be appreciated and may be made through the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston.
