Life Story for Ruth Herbst

Ruth Herbst passed away at McVean Lodge, Hanover on Saturday, March 4, 2017 in her 87th year.

Myrtle Ruth ( Ellis) Herbst was the wife of the late Carl Herbst, and dear mother of John Herbst of Normanby Township, Michael and Sharon Herbst of Woodstock, and Linda and John Aberle of Mildmay. God-mother of Faye Douglas, Tina Shepherd, and the late Terry Seip.

Remembered by her grandchildren Tammy and John Kieswetter, Tina Shepherd and Jason Brooker, Tracey Shepherd, Kim Aberle and Tom Kennedy, Jordan Aberle, Karleigh Herbst, and Mitchell Herbst and by her great-grandchildren Paige Brooker, Peyton Brooker, Nick Kieswetter, Josh Kieswetter, Sydney Seegmiller, Dan Seegmiller, Owen Kennedy, and Lilly Kennedy.

Sister of Lorna and Perry Greenwood of Orangeville, and sister-in-law of Betty Ellis of Dorchester, Stuart Douglas of Lakelet, Marie Foerster of Walkerton, and Helene Herbst of Waterloo.

Predeceased by her brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law Jack and Grace Ellis, Robert Ellis, Anna Douglas, Phyllis and Russell Glaze, Betty and Joe Murawsky, Sadie and Noah Brusso, Fred and Pearl Herbst, Milton Foerster, and Allen Herbst.

Friends may call at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Clifford for visitation on Monday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., and on Tuesday, March 7 from 12:00 Noon until the time of funeral service at 1:30 p.m.

Interment in St.James Lutheran Cemetery, Lauderbach.

Memorial donations to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church or a charity of one's choice would be appreciated, and may be made through the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston.
