Condolence From: Irene Keyes
Condolence: Mirian, Corinne Family & Friends. Its sad to lose someone in death. What helped me the most was prayers and faith in God’s promise at Psalm 34:18 “God is close to the broken heart: he saves those who are crushed in spirit.” For more comforting scriptures, please visit: http://bit.ly/1K38EFt. God’s Kingdom that Jesus taught us to pray for will bring about these wonderful promises. My prayers are with you at this difficult time. If you wish to contact me at: ikeyes@msn.com

Condolence From: judi and family
Condolence: Dear Uncle Bill...may you rest in peace. Even though you are far away, I know your soul will always be on the Island you loved and knew as home for the past 91 years. The Island will never be the same without you and you will always be remembered as a true Islander, both in name and spirit. and you take the 'Ward' name along with you.

We all know the only time you left the Island was to enlist in the Navy and head to Halifax...Other than that, you had never been outside of Ontario. And even in Ontario, the furthest you ever traveled was to Mount Forest where Aunt Mary lived... because you loved the Island so much, there was nowhere else in the world you wanted to be.

God love ya, Uncle Bill...we'll all be in our homes on Saturday, thinking about you and toasting you with a glass of wine, while remembering the wonderful life you had and the good times we shared.

Love, Judi (Niece); Patricia (Niece) and Brian, Glenn (Great-nephew), along with Glenn's wife Jodie, and children Kyle and Taylor (Great Great niece and nephew); Julia (Great-niece) along with children Joshua and Jacob (Great Great nephews); carol (niece) and daughter Alana (great niece)

Condolence: Bill was a very special life-long friend and neighbour. We will miss his wit, laughter and kindness. Bill was always at the ready when anyone needed help or advice and he was well-known for his generosity. We can't imagine our Island without Bill Ward...he was one of a kind and will be greatly missed by his old Island friends. Rest in peace dear friend.

Sincere condolences to Bill's family

Condolence From: Daralyn Steele
Condolence: I am sorry to hear of the passing of Bill. Bill was a very good friend of my grandfather, Ted Lye and my mother, Jacklyn (Marshall) Lye and my father Les Lye. I enjoyed cutting a rug with Bill to the music of the dixieland band on Gala Days. Rest in peace Bill.
From the Ottawa Lyes Jacklyn (Jonni) Lye, Daralyn Lye Steele and Emily Lye and from Wards Island Brett Lye and his family.
